This Week I Thrifted...

blueshoe1

What? Navy suede Sigerson Morrison flats
Where? Goodwill on Bloor St (here).
How much? $7
Why? Hey Ma! I bought flats! They are cute AND comfortable! Are you proud?
Someone (thank-you) commented a while back that I should check out the Goodwill on Bloor St. because it is ripe for the picking... It's funny, I remember going there during my university days but for some reason I thought it had shut down since. Not so, my friends. Not only was it still open but it was filled with good stuff. It was ridiculously messy and I would not recommend this place if you are new to thrifting, as the organization was fairly non-existent and the pricing system was confusing, but there were interesting things everywhere. I was with my Dad and so I only did a fairly quick sweep of the store.I didn't want to push his thrift patience and jeopardize my part of the inheritance. I bought these shoes and a silk shirt, and I am sure I would have found more if I had had more time... Not that I need more stuff... I could stand to remember that sometimes.

Gorgeous shoes! What a steal.
This week I thrifted a chambray shirt from Gap, a leather belt, a polka dot pleated skirt, and a very 90s floral maxi skirt. When I was telling my husband what I found, I started with, "You're going to hate all but one of the things I got from Goodwill..." HAHA

I love those shoes! I'm partial to the pointy toe myself. Bring them to TX so I can see them in person!

Great find my dear. I picked up two great blouses, one polka dotted, the other plaid print, and a cute necklace at Value Village on Queen East.

Pretty! They look so pristine. Today was my second day thrifting. Yay me! I found a cute green leather bag that I had admired at Banana Republic several months ago but it was quite pricey. I got it today at Goodwill for ten bucks! I also found a pair of nice dress pants and a skirt. I thought of your advice about trying on items in all sizes because you never know what will fit, which is how I ended up with the skirt. So thanks, Jentine!

Love the color!! :)

I didn't get to do any thrifting this week. I know, super sad. However I did pull a vest out of my class this week that I kind of forgot about. An ex boyfriend's grandma gave me this vest and I love it. Its vintage, gray, and military style. Hopefully I'll get to do A LOT of thrifting next week, as I will be on Spring Break! YAY!

Nice!! I'm no longer allowing myself in any thrift store for a couple weeks. But a couple weeks ago Talize had 50%, got 2 wool coats, cute wedges, and a dress.I guess I will just have to admire all your finds.

Those are really nice shoes - they look like they've already been broken in nicely.

I thrifted a vintage Danier Leather cherry red suede skirt for $9.50 and a Smoking Lily tunic dress for $18.50. Score!

Wow! I'll have to check out that place when I'm in town. This week I thrifted two button up shirts, one is vintage yves st. laurent and the other is theory. I also got two leather purses. And total cost was $20 (including tax)! Oh and I love your outfit from your previous post. That blazer is amazing, love the color and I can't believe it's cashmere, what a score :)
